Even though his dam's pedigree mostly consists of local stock, she and her predecessors have shown success in the rings and on the stand. Among Vera Wang's many wins, she placed 18th 2 Year Old Nubian Milker in a very competitive class at the 2017 ADGA National Show! While Rueben's granddam, SGCH BLISSBERRY NO DOUBT I'M HOT 5*M, is no longer alive, she was truly a gorgeous animal and rightfully earned her titles and Linear Appraisal scores, and his ELITE grandsire, GCH +*B BLISSBERRY MIC DROP, was also splendid. From placing well in the showrings to producing striking daughters with both captivating udders and long, level lactations, Mic Drop made his mark in all possible areas. Not only did Ruben's paternal aunts, like SG BLISSBERRY HOT & SPICY 6*M, GCH BLISSBERRY MD LOUISIANA 5*M, BLISSBERRY NEW YORK, NEW YORK 6*M and BLISSBERRY MALIBU BLACK SUNSET 7*M, make a name for themselves but so did his paternal sisters. They placed very well at the 2021 Wisconsin State and Central State Fair, placing top 3 in all classes entered, including 2-Year-Old Milker, 2-Year-Old Milker Udder, Exhibitors Herd, Dam and Daughter, Best 3 Does, Junior Milker/Doe, Best Udder in Class, Reserve Champion Senior Doe, Reserve Grand Champion Doe, and Reserve Champion Senior Nubian Doe. More of his close relatives placed very well at the 2022 Northern WI State Fair and WI State Fair as well.
Rueben himself exhibits incredible strength of general appearance, upstanding and angular, with great dairy and breed character. His ribs are flat and well-spaced, and he carries a long bone pattern throughout with sharpness in the withers combined with correct pasterns. He has very pliable skin. With great body capacity and barrel, Rueben has a style and strapping elegance to him that is very eye catching, both of which he graciously throws to his kids. Other improvements seen in his offspring include improved flatness of bone, rump angle, length throughout the body, depth, and straightness in the rear legs. He passed on correct front legs and angulated hind ends, as well as short and upright pasterns. His kids showed off powerful, dairy builds, along with prominent chests. His personable temperament is also passed onto his kids. He sired 70% doelings, one being Piglet.
